Hi, I'm Danielle!
Danielle Tuomey has a BFA in dance with a double minor in business administration and communications from Mercyhurst University. She recently completed her 2nd season as an NBA dancer for the Washington Wizards Dancers. Danielle is the 2024-25 Wizards Dancers’ Rookie of the Year and 2025-26 Wizards Dancers’ Technique Committee Lead. Danielle has performed with T.I., Les Twins, the Ying Yang Twins, and Cameo. Other professional experiences include A Chorus Line (Toby’s Dinner Theatre), Bresh; La Fiesta Más Linda Del Mundo (featured dancer), Head Over Heels (The MET), The Wizard of Oz (Other Voices Theatre), and various flash mobs for Carbone Entertainment, Inc. Additional performance highlights include Sidra Bell’s Savage Birds (Mercyhurst), Swan Lake (Mercyhurst – Pas de Trois), The New Adventures of Alice in Wonderland (Other Voices Theatre – Alice) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Other Voices Theatre).During college, Danielle was a 2x captain of the Mercyhurst University Dance Team. Danielle is on the faculty of Cerdafied Studios (Alexandria, VA), Dance Unlimited (Frederick, MD), and Skye Ballet Center (Herndon, VA) where she instructs weekly ballet technique, pointe, and theatre jazz classes to students elementary school age through adults.
Danielle’s early training in dance and theater is credited to Dance Unlimited in Frederick, MD where she was a member of the Dance Unlimited Repertory Company, and Skye Ballet Center (SBC) in Reston, VA. Throughout her career, Danielle has trained with Donna Grim, Gayle Williams, Paul Mejia, Maria Terezia-Balogh, Jody Skye Schissler, Stacey Tuomey, Derric Whitfield, Nicole Franks, Allyson Kelly, Beth Dangerfield Green, C. Noelle Partusch, Jennifer McNamara, Matthew Christensen, Lesley Bories Scalise, Danielle Kaiser, Tauna Hunter, and Mark and Solveig Santillano. Danielle has also attended the Steps on Broadway Summer Study, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell Summer Intensive, New York City Dance Alliance Outstanding Dancer Summer Experience, Rockettes Summer Intensive, Kennedy Center Ballet and Contemporary Master Class Series, Mejia Ballet International Summer Intensives, and Mercyhurst University Summer Dance Experience.
